They are trying hard to bring this course back to respectability. Over the past few months, they have repaired the once dead fairways. Who knows if it will last because they've been down this road before. I know I'm in the minority but I actually like playing this course. The pace of play is very good and the greens are some of the best around. If you can deal with some fairways that are below average (but improving) then give this course a try. Better yet...don't. I like walking on and playing a 4 1/2 hour round on the weekend!

The best part of this course are the greens as the fairways are very patchy. It is a nicely designed course and would rate well with better care. The staff in the pro shop were not rude mbut they seemed much like they would rather be someplace else. No supervision on course as the group of young guys would consistently park their cart by the green. It was still a good value with the low green fees we paid. I am the one usually responsible for selecting where my foursome plays and all things considered we probably won't make a return visit here.

Counrty of Los Angeles should put a little more money into ths course. It really looks like it is deteriorating. In the past 12 months, I played this course 3 times and each time, the course is worse than the previous play. Fairways have a lot of bald areas, course staff are not cognizant that they are blocking play while they are working on the course. I will probably not play this course anymore. It seems when trying to make tee times, you can call the very minute they start to take tee times for the week ahead but cannot obtain a tee time until after noon time and this is a course not having a tournament that day. Once, I called the very minute when they started to take tee times for the week ahead and the phone rang for about 5 minutes with no one answer the phone and when they did, the earliest time I was informed was 1:20 pm. I asked how so many tee times were placed ahead of me when I am the first person to call. All I was told, the times have already been penciled in and no tournament is scheduled for that week.

Dog track is a better word. Adobe in all fairways. Good breakfast

Hard to believe this is a government owned course. Was visiting family in SoCal and they thought I should play this course. Fairways were in poor to fair condition but the greens were great. I was told that they have been working on their range for several months, if not years. I don't know what their hangup is but there is a LOT of work needed to do before they can re-open the range. Notwithstanding all of that I would play there again if I was down in SoCal, if for no other reason to see if they have improved.
